Are you in a student society or sports team? We're about to launch a support package where every society/team has the opportunity to make money from our weekend club nights. We pay you to club. Sort of. It's a profit sharing scheme of sorts - each society/team that signs up has a checkbox added to the door sheet. Whilst paying, if someone mentions that they're part of your society/team we'll add a tally to your box and record the total at the end of the night. £1 for every person that drops your societies name will then be fed back into your club for use as you please - they don't even have to be in your society, as long as they mention its name. We'll then donate the total amount to the society on a monthly basis. Even if only 20 people mention your society over the course of the weekend, thats £80 a month... just under £1000 a year. Not bad for casually recommending The Hive to folk. If you want to push it harder within your club, and make more, you can - it's completely up to the individual society how hard they sell it to members/friends. Obviously this isn't a completely selfless act on our part - we're doing it because we're a new venue, and this is a quick way to get a lot of people talking about it.
